Mike's Portfolio

Alongside my teaching, I've had the opportunity to develop a number of web-based resources, including a number of critical web-based applications. This page serves as a portfolio of products I've created.

Flash-based teaching resources

Cartoon Capers This was my very first attempt at creating something like this. It was for Year 7 students and worked really well! DiDA Unit 2 SPB Guide This was my next attempt, this time for Year 9 students. It was never finished as we decided not to run the course any more. DiDA Unit 3 SPB Guide This was for the next unit, it also was never finished as we decided not to run the course any more. Lipsync Demonstration This is a simple Lip-sync demon intended replace the video component in the previous items for a more consistent look.

Still at prototype stage. SubVimeo SubVimeo leverages the Facebook Platform and Vimeo API to provide a Vimeo profile box, showing the last 4 Vimeo videos .

I am currently developing a number of web-based applications based on Web 2.0 techniques. I am providing solutions for tracking CPD training for staff across 3 schools and an online system for generating, storing and tracking student reports to parents.

Due to the confidential nature of the data stored by these systems it is not possible to provide public access at this time, although I'm looking into instancing a demonstration system.
